Katharina Lange - Belgium
Katharina Lange is
from Belgium. She came to GRCC
in the fall of 2011 for her Gap year.
"I'm using this time to figure out
what I want to do," she said.
"Interlanguage recommended GRCC to
me. They said it was the best
community college with the most
caring and helpful faculty and
staff."
"I am really happy
about my decision to come here.
I am maturing a lot. I am learning
how to cook and clean. My Mom used to do
all those things for me. Although I
miss everyone back home, sometimes
it's good not to have your family
and close friends around so that you
learn how to make your own
decisions in life."
Katharina lives at
Campus
Corner Apartments. She has three
roommates - two from South Korea and
one American. "I have my own
room so I can have private time
too."
Katharina loves participating in
Student Life activities whenever she
gets a chance. "My favorite
activities so far,
were the indoor
skydiving adventure
and the ski trip to Whistler."
Katharina is now considering a degree in Business.
One of the advisors gave her a
Career Assessment test and her
results showed an aptitude for
Business. She speaks
German, Dutch, English, a little
French, and is now studying Spanish.
She hopes to one day put all these
languages to use in her future career.
