Noortje Poutsma - The Netherlands

Noortje Poutsma
came to Green River Community College to experience the American way
of life. She is part of the
Foundation/Gap Year program which provides students an
opportunity to study abroad in the United States during the "gap
year" between secondary education and university.
"I really like Green River Community College. The
people are so friendly and there is so much to do. Although I am
here for only a short period of time I have been able to get
involved in a lot of activities," said Noortje.
Noortje has participated in school plays, choir,
piano recitals, and student government. Noortje lives in
Campus Corner Apartments. "CCA is really convenient. Everything is
already there. I don't need to buy furniture or pots and pans. Also,
I lucked out with really nice roommates."
Noortje is pursuing a major in Communications. |
