Definition:
Responsibility encompasses those behaviors and
dispositions necessary for students to be
effective members of a community. This outcome is
designed to help students recognize the value of a
commitment to those responsibilities which will
enable them to work successfully individually and
with others.

This outcome includes
abilities designed to help students

Identify and comply with clearly stated
expectations, policies, and procedures.

Appropriately question or change stated
expectations, policies, and procedures.

Recognize and accept consequences resulting
from a failure to comply with stated
expectations, policies, and procedures.

Meet obligations necessary to complete
individual and group tasks.

Clearly communicate to affected parties any
difficulties that may prevent them from
fulfilling obligations.

Demonstrate common courtesies and show respect
for the needs, difficulties, and rights of
others.

Strive for excellence in contributions,
performances, and products.

Complete work independently and appropriately
