When can new students enroll?
You may enter Green River’s CSA program at the beginning of any quarter. However, fall quarter is the best time to start the sequence.

Prerequisites
Complete an application to Green River Community College, complete the COMPASS placement assessment, and meet with an advisor.

How long does the program take?
It depends on you. If you attend Green River full time, the Associate in Applied Arts degree requirements can be completed in six quarters, the certificate in four or five quarters. If you attend part time, completion will depend on how many credits you earn each quarter.

Special fees
Courses requiring special equipment have modest fees.

Personal requirements for success
People most likely to succeed in CSA are those who delight in technology and are flexible, task oriented, enjoy challenges, enjoy learning, pay close attention to detail, and are team players.

Does the program transfer to four-year schools?
All transferability of courses is at the discretion of the receiving institution. Careful planning with an advisor and coordination of courses with the college or university of your choice is advised.

Special program notes
The Help Desk certificate requirements apply toward the two-year Associate in Applied Arts degree. This allows you to work as a Help Desk Technician while working toward your degree, if you choose.

Salary range
Current wages range from $12 per hour for part-time work to $25 per hour as a contracted employee.
