Who is eligible for TRiO
services? ˇ A U.S. citizen or a permanent resident, eligible to apply for financial aid, ˇ Working toward your first associate's degree, ˇ Pursuing a transfer degree with intent to transfer to a 4 year school after GRCC graduation, ˇ Currently enrolled in 10 or more credits (at least 5 at college level) You must also meet any one of the following criteria: ˇ A first-generation college student (neither of your parents has received a four-year college bachelor's degree) ˇ Low-income, according to federal guidelines ˇ Have a documented disability How to apply... 1. Contact TRiO staff to learn more about our services and to pick up an application. 2. After completing the application, an informal intake interview will be scheduled during which we will exchange information - we tell you more about our program and you tell us about your background, goals, current academic concerns and expectations. 3. Shortly thereafter, you will be informed if you've been selected as a program participant based on the program's eligibility criteria, your academic needs, and space available in the program.
As a TRiO participant, what will be expected of me?
