Description
Water
and wastewater disinfection has an impact on public health and requires compliance
with federal and state safe drinking water act requirements and water
quality standards.
This practical 3-day workshop will review current regulations
governing disinfection.
Participants will learn where disinfectants are effectively applied
and will discover the properties of disinfection chemicals and how they
disinfect.
The pros and cons of different disinfectants will be compared,
including chlorine in its various forms, combined disinfectants, ozone,
ultraviolet, potassium permanganate, peroxone, chlorine dioxide and
chlororganics.
They will identify different types of disinfection process equipment,
their components and how they function along with major operation and
maintenance considerations.

student. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Payment or purchase order must be received at the time of registration. A
full refund will be made for cancellations received 10 days before the workshop.
No refund will be made for cancellations received less than 10 days before the
workshops. Substitutions made less than
ten (10) days prior to the
workshop incur a $35 processing fee.
