Currently certified Backflow Assembly Testers who inspect, test, monitor and diagnose problems and service backflow prevention assemblies in accordance with Washington State regulations.
Workshop Description
This three-day course provides what testers need to know to prepare for the Backflow Assembly Tester Professional Growth Examination.
Workshop Outline
First Day
Review backflow assembly regulations and issues
Review backflow assembly field test procedures
Reduced pressure backflow assembly (RPBA)
Double check valve assembly (DCVA)
Pressure vacuum breaker assembly (PVBA)
Spill resistant vacuum breaker assembly (SVBA)
Test kits, bleed valves and sight tubes
Verify test kit accuracy and calibration
Materials, suppliers and catalogs
Second Day
Simulating backflow assembly problems
Diagnosing backflow assembly problems
Practice testing and diagnosing problems
Third Day
Testing and diagnosing failure conditions of multiple assemblies
Practical Examination Review

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment or purchase order must be received at the time of registration. A full refund will be made for cancellations received 10 days before the workshop. No refund will be made for cancellations received less than 10 days before the workshops. Substitutions made less than ten (10) days prior to the workshop incur a $35 processing fee.
