Give us fifteen minutes in person or on the phone, and we can usually give you a good idea what type of funding you qualify for, if any. We have programs for recently laid off workers, low income adults, adults receiving unemployment benefits, parents receiving TANF, food-stamp recipients, and others. If you qualify for funding, we’ll work with you to develop an educational plan that fits your career goals as well as the guidelines for funding. While each of our funding sources has different requirements, it all supports students pursuing credits in one of the college’s professional and technical programs. (You can, however, later apply any corresponding credits toward your Associates degree, if you choose to pursue that goal.) See our list of professional technical programs.

With a plan in place, we guide you through the process of applying to the college and registering for classes. In some cases, we’ll also give you advice on how to apply for federal financial aid which would also help you pay for school.

Once you’ve qualified, applied, and registered for classes, we place a “hold” on your tuition while the college’s financial aid office prepares your award. In some cases, we also provide you with a way to purchase your books and/or supplies. Within a couple of weeks, you will be contacted by the financial aid office and asked to sign a letter accepting the free or reduced tuition and any other support you’ve been awarded.
