With four teams advancing to the NWAACC softball championships later in May, the Gator softball team took a big step towards that destination by defeating Grays Harbor and Highline Colleges this weekend in four games. With lively bats from Samantha Beckler, Alexa Derrick and Jasmine Hubley the Gators had the offensive punch to collect the four victories. Derrick continues to pitch every game for the Gators and relies on Sarah Beckler behind the plate. With just two weeks left, Coach Brian Embery has four more home matches on the schedule to work the Gators up the standings. Here are the current rankings in the NWAACC West.
