Gators Win First NWAC Men’s Basketball Title in 69-61 Overtime Thriller over Tacoma

The Green River Gators won their second-ever conference title and first NWAC Championship, defeating the Tacoma Titans 69-61 in a high-intensity overtime battle in the finals of the 2024 NWAC Men's Basketball Championship, presented by Golf Universe, on Sunday at Columbia Basin College.

Coach Godfrey Drake nets 100th win with Green River College basketball

Green River College’s Godfrey Drake reached a career milestone after earning his 100th victory as the Gator’s head men’s basketball coach, making him the fastest coach in GRC’s men’s basketball history to reach 100 wins. In his six seasons leading the Gators, Drake has guided the team to three NWAC Championship tournaments and is on their way to a fourth.
