Sue Benedict to chair Green River Foundation board
AUBURN, WA - The Green River Community College Foundation named Susan Benedict chair of its board of directors at its Dec. 4 executive committee board meeting. She will serve out the remainder of the outgoing president Denton Hanford's term in addition to a two year term set to begin July 1, 2013.
"Sue is a great asset to the community," said Foundation Executive Director George Frasier. "Her belief in the value of education coupled with real-world business experience will help the entire Green River community."
Benedict serves as a principal in business valuations and consulting services at Fitchitt, Benedict and Clark in Auburn, Wash. She works with small business and corporate clients to help them build their business plan. Benedict is a certified public accountant and accredited in business valuations.
In addition to serving on the Green River Foundation board for the past seven years, Benedict is a member of the Auburn Youth Resources Board. She also served on the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors for eight years, including a term as board chair.
