Nearly 100 colleges attend the International Transfer Fair
Nearly 100 colleges set up booths and connected with international students at the International University Transfer Fair Oct. 30. Green River’s International Programs and Extended Learning coordinates the bi-annual Transfer Fair to connect international students directly with colleges nationwide.
More than 400 students stopped by the fair to learn about the programs and transfer options offered at the wide variety of transfer destinations present. The high regard that universities have for Green River is evidenced by the long list of schools that apply to attend the twice-annual transfer fair. “Great attendance! Love the energy of staff and students at Green River. Looking forward to February’s fair,” remarked one university representative.
The International University Transfer Fair is an integral part of Green River's reputable transfer program and is one of the main reasons students choose to start their studies at the college.
“This fair is one of my favorite events to plan,” said International Student Activities Manager Martha Koch. “The reps bring such excitement and energy, which is only surpassed by the level of student enthusiasm.”
Nearly 1,600 international students from 58 countries attend Green River. They maintain a median GPA of 3.5.
All the university representatives gather in the Lindbloom Student Center.
