The Current to feature stories by video journalism students

A videojournalism student edits her work.

Student journalists at Green River have almost always been easy to spot. They're the ones passing out copies of The Current, taking pictures with their digital camera or jotting in their notepads for an upcoming story.

But in the next few weeks many of you will be seeing a new kind of student-journalist - the video journalist! Equipped with a video camera or video-capable cell phone, students from the Intro to Video journalism class (JOURN 107) will soon be recording and producing their own stories about the college.

"Students will tell stories about campus programs, services, events, student life, etc.," says Aaron Day, instructor of the class.

He adds that some members of the campus community may be asked to provide information or be interviewed on camera. Please email Day with any story ideas.

Some of the stories produced by his students will show up on the Current's website.
