  • Carpool parking is reserved every day until 10:30 a.m.

  • Vehicles parking in carpool parking spots must have a carpool pass that is dated for that day ONLY.

  • Carpool passes MUST be signed or initialed.

  • NO other permit is valid for carpool parking spots.

  • After 10:30 a.m. carpool parking becomes general parking.

  • Carpool permits can be obtained at the entrance of the campus at one of our booths.

  • The first citation issued is a WARNING - no fee will be charged or collected.

  • All subsequent citations will remain on the violator's record.

  • Unpaid parking citation fines could result in withholding a student's records, graduation materials, transcripts and could block the student's ability to register for classes.  A wheel lock can be placed on a vehicle and a vehicle can be towed.

  • If the vehicle has a state handicap permit or license plate the vehicle may park anywhere on campus EXCEPT for fire lanes.

  • If the vehicle has a Green River temporary handicap permit, then you may park only in staff parking.

  • A disabled parking violation is a fine of $175.00. NO warnings will be issued.

  • There is absolutely NO parking in a fire lane for any reason.
  • General parking spaces are open for all vehicles.
  • A vehicle may not park in a loading zone unless they are unloading equipment or passengers.

  • If a vehicle is parked in a loading zone for more than 20 minutes, a citation will be issue.

  • No vehicle is permitted to park in a "No Parking Zone".

  • If a vehicle needs to be unloaded and no loading zone is available, a "No Parking Zone" may be used ONLY long enough to complete the unloading process.

  • DO NOT leave a vehicle unattended in a "No Parking Zone".

  • All students are strongly encouraged to register their vehicle with the Campus Safety Office and receive a parking decal for their vehicle

  • Parking permit decals are issued by the Campus Safety Office at any time

  • In the event that something happens to your vehicle while it is on campus, the decal provides a method of contacting you quickly

  • To receive a parking permit, complete a Vehicle Registration form (available at Enrollment Services in the Lindbloom Student Center, at the Cashier's Office in the Lindbloom Student Center and at the Campus Safety desk in the Administration Building) and turn it in at the Cashier's Office (located on the second floor of the Lindbloom Student Center) or the Campus Safety Office. A parking permit decal will be assigned to you at that time.

  • POL (Parent Observation Lab) parking is reserved from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Vehicles MUST have the orange POL permit.

  • After 11:00 a.m. POL parking becomes general parking.

  • Staff parking spots are designated by green curbs or lines, a posted sign or a label of "Staff" painted on the ground.

  • Vehicles with a Green River staff parking permit, service pass, volunteer pass, temporary staff permit or a disabled parking permit may park in staff parking.  Any vehicle that does not have one of these permits that is parked in a designated staff parking spot is in violation of the parking regulations.

  • If you use alternative transportation at least 3 times a week to get to campus, staff is eligible to receive their staff permit at no charge (contact Judy Brendan at extension 2566 for more details).

  • After 5:00 p.m. staff parking spaces are open parking spaces unless otherwise posted.

  • Valley Towing at (253) 833-6662 is the towing service used by GRCC.
  • Contact the Campus Safety Office at extension 2250 for ALL traffic accidents - even minor ones.

  • Our Campus Safety Staff will complete a written report for all reported traffic accidents, which can then be submitted to your insurance company.

  • The King County Police Department will report to the scene of an accident on campus ONLY if there is more than $500.00 in damage or if one of the parties involved in the accident is injured.

  • If the accident does not involve an injury or more than $500.00 in damage, you must report to the nearest King County Police Department station within 24 hours of the accident to pick up an accident report to complete yourself.
