Summer Kids' Camps

Crime Scene Investigation

Summer is a great time for kids to explore their interests and Green River's Kids' Camps offer something for everyone! Choose from a variety of 3-hour camps where kids (ages 8-14) can investigate crime scenes, design Minecraft characters, create mobile apps and 3D video games, learn web coding and become responsible babysitters.

The following are a few of our highlighted camps. To see all of our camps, by location, click on the Kent or Enumclaw tabs below.

Crime Scene Investigation in Kent  New!
August 8-11

Calling all amateur detectives and sleuths! Would you like to help Green River solve a crime? Join us at our new Crime Scene Investigation camp where you will learn the basics of crime scene investigation and protocol. You will investigate a faux crime scene and interview first responders and witnesses; examine the layout; document the evidence; and process the scene, including collecting and analyzing fingerprints, blood evidence and hair and fibers. If you’re lucky, you may even solve the crime!
Ages: 11-14

App Attack!

Take the first steps into the world of mobile app design and customize your own game app! In this exciting class, you'll explore the world of web-based apps, learn the basics of mobile app design and game development, and see firsthand how the world of app publishing functions. Apps will be available on a password protected website and can be played on any mobile device or computer. No prior experience is necessary.

LEGO Video Games  New!
July 25-28

Combine your two favorite activities: LEGOs and video games! You will create your own LEGO characters and adventures in an interactive 2D video game. At the end of the program, you will have a finished LEGO video game that can be shared with friends and family through a password-protected website. Games are only compatible on PC computers; Mac versions can be created after the program for a $15 conversion fee.
