Men's Track & Field
Introduction
The Green River track and field program restarted competing in 2011 as an natural extension of the cross country program to allow the distance runners opportunity to run competitively in the spring. But at a school the size of GRCC, sprinters, jumpers, and middle distance runners quickly joined the fold. Not since 1992 had Green River fielded a team at the NWAACC Championships. However in 2011, the men's team earned three silver medals at the championship meet. Taylor Hughes (800m), Kevin Bateman (high jump), and Josh Melu (triple jump) announced GRCC return with their strong performances. .
