The Career and Advising Center offer many tools to help you discover and clarify career goals. If you cannot find what you are looking for below, just give us a call. We would be happy to help. Our number is (253) 833-9111 ext 2641.

  • Take a Majors Quiz
  • What can I do with a major in...?
  • Talk with a GRCC Career Planner
    • Confused and overwhelmed? Feel like you have too many interests? Sometimes it helps to sit down and talk with someone. A Career Planner can make some suggestions and get you started or help you focus your search. Call the Career and Advising Center at 253-833-9111 Extension 2641 to make an appointment.
  • Come to a "It's a Major Decision Workshop"
    • Free 2 hour workshops are held twice each quarter to get students started in their exploration of different interest areas and majors. Call the Career and Advising Center at 253-833-9111 Extension 2641 for the date and location of the next Majors Workshop.
  • Search our GRCC Website for programs
  • Pick up a catalog or some program guides
    • Free GRCC catalogs are available on campus in the Career and Advising Center in LSC 126. Also, they are provided to all students in the New Student Advising sessions. Look on pages 42-46 of the 2006-2008 catalog for a list of all programs of study as well as all degree and certificate programs.
  • Talk with a Career Planner
    • Call 253-833-9111 Extension 2641 for an appointment. Evening appointments are available by arrangement on Mondays until 7 pm.
  • Take a quick electronic quiz that matches your interests with majors and careers.
  • More free online assessments are also available on Web sites and by calling the Career and Advising Center at 253-833-9111 Extension 2641. You may save your results to an online portfolio and make an appointment to review your results with a Career Planner.
  • The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Strong Interest Inventory (SII) are administered online in the Career and Advising Center by arrangement. The cost is $25 for students and $40 for non-students, which includes a 1 ˝ hour individual appointment with a Career Planner to interpret the results. For more information or to arrange to take these two comprehensive professional assessments, call (253) 833-9111 Extension 2641.
  • The StrengthsQuest is available online by obtaining a password from the Career and Advising Center and making an appointment with a Career Planner. The cost is $15 for students and $25 for non-students.
