Students bring to counseling various concerns that may affect academic success. Some of these include:

  • Family or relationship problems

  • Self-esteem

  • Schoolwork or other stressors

  • Grief and loss

  • Single-parenting challenges

  • Alcohol or other drug issues

  • Sexuality

  • Diversity issues

  • Many others

What is Available

Short-term personal counseling (5 - 7 sessions, 50 minutes in length), to any Green River student. Counseling sessions are free and confidential.

  • Referrals to off-campus counseling resources

  • Counseling groups offered throughout the year

  • Personal Development Workshops presented each quarter. See navigation bar for current offerings

  • Presentations on a variety of topics to your class or group

  • Consultations with faculty and staff
