![]() A proud moment for single parent Helen Rutkowski in 1967 as she celebrates the graduation of her son Richard with an M.B.A. Also included in the photograph is her other son, Paul. The higher education of her sons was a primary goal in the life of this dedicated mother. |
In the Fall of 2000, we were pleased to discover that our institution had been selected to participate in the "Faces of America" project sponsored by the National Endowment of the Humanities. Instructors Jeff Clausen and Hank Galmish were inspired by the project's vision and possibilities. I am pleased to thank them for their leadership in developing what is now called "Faces of Green River." Our project has also received funding from the Community College Humanities Association (CCHA) and the GRCC Foundation. Throughout the following pages you will view an amazing collection of photographs that demonstrate our common threads of humanity. Regardless of which part of the world we come from, the students, staff, faculty and alumni of Green River Community College have demonstrated the profound pride we have in our families and community. |
