Sam Ball 5/19/05 Progress Report After several months of delay, all regulatory inspections are in the finals stages of completion. During the delay, we were allowed to install furnishings and equipment in preparation for staff and faculty to move into the building. On May 16th, the Information Technology Client Services Team began their move into the new facility. Faculty moves will begin soon. The boiler replacement is still scheduled to occur during the summer months and will not delay public access to the building or the use of the building during summer quarter. View Capital Projects Status Report for an up-to-date timeline. 3/17/05 Progress Report Unfortunately, a subcontractor failed to deliver and install their product as scheduled, resulting in a delay of required fire systems testing. Public use of the building therefore is delayed until late April/early May. This will prevent scheduling spring quarter classes in the new facility. Graham construction, our general contractor, has allowed us to install furnishings and equipment in designated rooms and that effort will continue as planned. Other rooms will be set up as secure storage areas until the unfinished rooms are completed. Also, we have a problem with the boilers in the center. As a result, the contractor will replace the boilers after the heating season. This replacement effort will not delay public access to the building.
