Green River Community College Foundation
As President of the GRCC Foundation Board, I'd like to welcome you to Green River Community College. Let me begin by sharing information about the Foundation Board and some of what you will find by perusing this website.
Our Foundation Board consists of 21 community members who volunteer their unique talents and skills to help create opportunities for students attending Green River Community College. Some Board members help guide the strategic direction of our fundraising while others oversee the financial stewardship of funds raised. These are only a couple of examples. Each individual contribution adds up to a larger whole: more resources for the students, faculty and staff of Green River. You can read more about the Board here: About the Foundation
You may be asking: Why Give? The commitment that underlies this dedication starts with the belief that everyone deserves an opportunity to improve his or her life through education. We are here to help improve lives and provide increased and enhanced educational opportunities. Thank you for sharing in this mission and for giving to the Foundation.
Did you know:
- Over 50% of full-time GRCC employees make contributions to our Foundation, giving over $70,000 last year
- Many employees support our scholarship program
- 167 GRCC Foundation scholarships were awarded in 2008-2009 to 163 students. The average scholarship amount was $1,419.
Green River Community College will be celebrating its 45th year anniversary during the 2010-11 school year. At the same time, the Foundation will be celebrating its 35th anniversary.
