Scholarships Categories

Merit Based
To qualify for merit based scholarships, you should have a cumulative GPA (either high school or Green River) of at least 3.0.  Additional qualifications include demonstrated leadership capabilities and involvement in extracurricular and/or community activities.

Need Based
To qualify for need based scholarships, you should be able to demonstrate that financial support is necessary for you to complete your college education.  This does not need to be based on federal financial aid standards.

Single Parent 
To qualify for single parent scholarships, you should be a single parent with at least one dependent child living in your home.  You must also demonstrate that you need financial support to complete your college education.

Program Based
To qualify for program based scholarships, you should be working toward a degree or certificate in one of the following programs which have program based scholarships available: Accounting, Aviation, Automotive Technology, Auto Body Technology, Broadcasting, Business, Business Education, Carpentry, Computer Reporting Technology, Computer Science, Education (teaching, Project TEACH, or CWU at GRCC Teacher Preparation Program, Drafting, Engineering, English, Fine Arts, Health Sciences, History, Information Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Montessori Education, Music, Natural Resources, Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Assistant, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Water/Waste Water or Geology), Science Education or Social Science (Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, Psychology, or Sociology).
