Dick Hopkins Receives the Carl Alwin Schenck Award

Green River's Natural Resources instructor, Dick Hopkins, was awarded the Carl Alwin Schenck Award on behalf of the Society of American Foresters.

Carl Alwin Schenck founded the first forestry education program, The Biltmore Forestry School in North Carolina. This award, which includes a $500.00 honorarium is in recognition of Dick's "outstanding performance in the field of forestry education."
