Green River Community College is located on a 168-acre wooded site near Auburn, Washington, about 30 miles from both Seattle and Tacoma. Position: French Instructor - Adjunct

The Humanities Division is accepting applications to be considered for adjunct instruction. Adjunct instructors are appointed quarter to quarter based on student enrollment.

Green River Community College welcomes faculty who have a commitment to teaching and the ability to utilize a variety of methods and modes of instruction to ensure student success. The Language department is seeking innovative and creative faculty who are committed to the spirit of active learning, natural approach to language instruction and inquiry methods of education. The department encourages collaboration with colleagues to promote student success.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Teaching first and second year French courses as well as other courses related to the field.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in French.

Demonstrated educational experience working with people of diverse racial, ethnic, age and socioeconomic backgrounds as well as with those with disabilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Successful teaching experience at the college level.

SALARY: Salary is determined by the college salary schedule, and varies depending on the degree and mode of instruction.
