The LAW Division is
accepting applications to be considered for adjunct instruction.
Adjunct instructors are appointed quarter to quarter based on student
enrollment. For specifics, applicants should contact the division
for more information.
BASIC DESCRIPTION:
Teach Adult Basic Reading, Writing, Math,
and/or GED Preparation class. Maintain communication with the ABE
Department on a regular basis and complete all needed paperwork for a
program funded by the State Office of Adult Literacy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in adult education or other related area. A minimum of two years' experience in teaching Adult
Basic Education and GED Preparation classes in a community college or
community-based setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with assessment procedures, CASAS
and TABE tests. Experience working with instructional aides, tutors, and
volunteers. Experience in working collaboratively with and reporting
to private, state, and federal agencies. Experience working with
people of diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well
as those with disabilities.
SALARY:
According to part-time salary
schedule.
