Indridewi
Sukagunas transferred from Green River Community College to Indiana
University Bloomington (IUB) this fall. When she found out
that she did not get into her first choice, University of
Michigan - Ann Arbor, her advisor, Alvin Tai suggested she apply to
IUB. "Although the application
deadline had already passed, Alvin got permission from IUB's
admissions officer for me to apply late and I was admitted two weeks
later," said Indridewi.
"So, here I am at Indiana University –
Bloomington. It is a large and beautiful campus. Although it is not
in a metropolitan setting, there are malls, good
restaurants, and movie theatres. This place is highly
conducive for learning. The professors are excellent and dedicated.
The most interesting part is that the IU Auditorium presents an
array of shows each semester, some of which are well-known Broadway
hits like Annie, RENT, MOVIN’ OUT, and famous
performances such as The Cat and the Canary, STOMP,
Riverdance and many more.
I am currently in the University Division of IUB.
This semester, I will apply to the Kelley School of Business. Life
at a university is very different from GRCC. We are pretty much by
ourselves, and our schedule is very hectic. It has taken me time to
adapt to my new environment. But, overall, I like IUB and I will
continue to strive to achieve my fullest potential." |
