Student
of the Month
Jessica Hendrawidjaja: Indonesia

Jessica Hendrawidjaja is very
involved on campus.
Jessica Hendrawidjaja is from
Indonesia and is majoring in
Business. Her goal is to transfer to the University
of Pennsylvania in the fall of 2010.
"When I first came to GRCC, I
thought I made a mistake because all
my friends went to colleges closer
to Seattle. However, soon I realized
that GRCC was the perfect place for
me. I have improved a lot
because I have been given so many
opportunities to grow. The
advisors, staff and teachers all
encourage me to be the best I can
be. I am very grateful to them."
Jessica is involved in many
activities on campus. She is an International Student
Ambassador, she's a member of the
Resident Council for Campus Corner
Apartments (CCA), and she's an
economics tutor.
As an International Student
Ambassador, she helps to organize
events for incoming international
students such as orientation, CORE,
the Seattle Trip, Ice Cream socials
and more.
Jessica lives at CCA. "It
is a really great experience!
There are a lot of events, friends
and opportunities for leadership."
Jessica encourages international
students to get involved on campus.
"Don't be afraid to open yourself up
to the opportunities around you.
There's a lot if you look carefully.
There's something for everyone.
Don't get discouraged if you don't
get the first job you apply for.
There are others on campus."
