Burnett-Keener Honored by State Small Business Network (AUBURN, Wash) – The Washington State Small Business Development Network (WSBDC) has named DeAnna Burnett-Keener to its 100 Jobs Club and Million Dollar Club. Burnett-Keener is director of Green River Community College’s Small Business Assistance Center. Small business counselors who create or retain 100 or more jobs annually receive entrance into the 100 Jobs Club. At Green River’s center, Burnett-Keener created or saved 108 jobs in the local community during 2004. The small business network also honored Burnett-Keener for developing $9.5 million in monetary impact to the community.
Green River’s center, which was established in
1999, has helped more than 1,200 small businesses in South King and North
Pierce counties. The center is publicly funded by the cities of Auburn,
Enumclaw, and Kent and also receives funding from the Herb Jones
Foundation, local bank grants, and the WSBDC. |
