Hundreds of high school students will be racing for scholarships to Green River Community College at Pacific Raceways’ 2008 All-High School Drags on Friday, May 2nd. 

“We have secured $3,000 in scholarships and are looking for more,” said Tracie Brandenburg, marketing manager at Pacific Raceways. Scholarships will be awarded to race finalists.

In addition to Green River, the event is sponsored by AAA of Washington, Les Schwab Tires, Bret Chevrolet and NOS Energy Drinks. 

Green River will have booth space at the event.  Programs interested in being involved in promotional activity at the race should contact Lindsey Mansell in Outreach (Ext. 2624) or John Ramsey in the Public Information Office (Ext. 3360). The Trades Division will have its Mustang drag race car at the event and KGRG-FM will host a battle of the bands.

Pacific Raceways’ All-High School Drags in one of the largest single day high school racing events on the west coast, drawing high school students from across the state.
