Green River Community College Foundation received one of five scholarships created by the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA) to support students studying in fields related to the aerospace industry.

The first recipient of a $500 scholarship through the GRCC Foundation is Jeffrey Bowie, of Bonney Lake, who completed his first quarter of study in Air Traffic Control, while maintaining a 3.55 GPA. He plans on following in his father’s footsteps, and will apply to the FAA upon completion of the program.

The PNAA is a nonprofit organization promoting growth and success of the aerospace industry in the northwest region of the United States. Scholarships were also awarded at Edmonds, Everett, South Seattle, and Spokane community colleges.
