ECE instructors to attend "The Seeds of Compassion" Forum Featuring His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Seeds of Compassion.
“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.” - His Holiness the Dalai Lama

On April 13th Early Childhood Education (ECE) instructors, Diana Holz and Candy Benteu will attend The Seeds of Compassion Forum featuring His Holiness the Dalai Lama. This Compassion Forum will engage a diverse group of over 500 citizens, policy makers, teachers, parents, youth, community leaders and philanthropists in an important dialogue to define action steps to sustain the goals of Seeds of Compassion. The goal of the forum is to translate the event into concrete, measurable outcomes to nurture kindness and compassion in the lives of our children. During this Compassion Forum participants will work in small groups with a trained facilitator to discuss a series of questions about how to continue the work of Seeds of Compassion in our schools and communities. The discussions will center around three areas:

  • Early Learning and Education
  • Youth Engagement
  • Support for Parents, Caregivers and Families

“Attendance at the “Compassion Forum” was by invitation only and is a result of the ongoing outreach and community activism demonstrated by the instructors in the Early Childhood Education Program.
