Green River Community College's 2010 graduation ceremony will be at ShoWare Center in downtown Kent on Friday, June 11 at 7 p.m.

The ShoWare Center is a new location for GRCC's commencement ceremony.

"We had two great years at the White River Amphitheatre where the weather was just perfect," said John Ramsey, director public information. "But, we just couldn't continue to chance that it would always be warm and sunny." Though covered, the open-air amphitheatre is susceptible to windy and cold conditions.

"The ShoWare Center provides a large, indoor venue in our district. Seating is fairly close to the floor and sight lines are great," said Ramsey. "One of our requirements is to have enough seating for guests so we don't have to limit tickets for graduates, and the ShoWare Center certainly fits that bill."
