Below, you will find important transfer-related events on and off the Green River Community College campus. Get involved and stay connected throughout your transfer experience!
Events at Green River
The Transfer Center invites in state and out of state university reps to give Green River students information on admissions and departmental requirements, applications, financial aid, tours and other resources to ensure a smooth transfer. This is a great opportunity to explore prospective universities and get your questions answered. We plan a variety of events throughout the year that assist students in the transfer process.

College Open Houses
Many schools will arrange individual visits with prospective students. If a school you are interested in is not listed below please contact the admissions department of the university to inquire about their campus visitation options.
University of Washington (Seattle)
Information sessions are available each Thursday in the Undergraduate Gateway Center in the Mary Gates Hall, room 171. An Admissions Counselor will join a Gateway Center Advisor in hosting these sessions specifically tailored to meet the needs of community college transfer students.

University of Washington (Tacoma)
Want to know more about the many academic programs and majors offered at UW Tacoma? What about the social scene on campus? Washington State University
WSU offers several opportunities throughout the year to visit their campus. Please refer to the Student Visits page on the WSU website to choose a visitation program that best fits your needs.
Western Washington University
WWU provides transfer students the opportunity to tour campus, visit academic departments, speak with current students and meet with admissions advisors during their Western Transfer Days program. Transfer Days will be taking place this year on the following dates:

Central Washington University
CWU offers a variety of opportunities for prospective students to visit campus & meet with admissions representatives. Central Sampler Days, an overnight program that includes a campus tour and meetings with admissions & financial aid representatives, is just one opportunity to experience CWU.

Eastern Washington University
Transfer Talk- Jan 21, 2011
Audience: Students who are thinking about transfer to Eastern
Transfer Talk will help students who are interested in Eastern learn about the application process and deadlines, how your credits may transfer, and how a DTA can work for you. We will have representatives to educate you on the financial aid process and deadlines, a guided campus tout and the option of speaking with a representative from your program of study to learn more about your academic options

Audience: Future students and their families
goEastern is a spirited Saturday event designed for everyone from students who are trying to make their decision to students who’ve never been on Eastern’s campus. The day begins with check in, differs sessions from financial aid, admissions, student life, dining services and much more. There will also be a chance to meet with different people from academic programs that interest you. It’s a great opportunity for you and your family. Please join us!
Pacific Lutheran University
Pacific Lutheran University is open for daily visits year-round, Monday through Friday. PLU is also open Saturdays during the school year from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. To experience a typical day as a PLU student, try to avoid weekends, vacation times, and the first and last two weeks of each term.

Seattle Pacific University
Students who are interested in transferring to SPU are encouraged to attend a Transfer Open House. You'll have an opportunity to meet current students who transferred to SPU, as well as SPU staff and faculty. You'll also learn about the transfer process and meet with our transfer admissions team. Feel free to bring your transcript if you'd like it evaluated.

Tour campus, eat lunch in Gwinn Commons, meet faculty and students, and learn about the admissions process - all during an SPU Friday.
