Assessment of Services
The Division of Student Services and Retention has been working towards developing its own internal assessment plan for its departments. Student Service and Retention is an integral component of the student learning experience at Green River Community College. Through its programs and services, the Student Services and Retention area contributes significantly to the growth of the academic culture on campus. As the area is both “student centered” and “learning centered,” it is imperative to ensure an atmosphere conducive to educational pursuits both in and out of the classroom. In order to measure progress towards this atmosphere, the Student Services and Retention area is committed to ensuring rigorous assessment and evaluation of all services and programs.
Assessment Plan
The coordinated Student Services Assessment Program at Green River Community College is:
- A relatively new work in progress, we began in August 2009;
- A collaborative venture between the Office of Institutional Research and the Office of the Dean of Student Services and Retention; and
- A collective effort that has engaged each department and major program within the Student Services and Retention functional areas.
