Peer Navigators
Peer Navigators are students who help other students navigate the college system. Many of our Peer Navigators, like you, learned how to navigate college themselves—often the first in their families to attend college. Peer Navigators can provide assistance with transitioning into college — locating financial resources, registering for classes, and getting involved on campus — to ensure your success at Green River. Peer Navigators also coordinate events and activities to keep you connected and engaged with other students on campus.
Peer Navigators have been an essential component of the Commencement Achievement Program since it started in 2006. We currently have nine Peer Navigators, the most ever in the history of the program. Any student can apply to become a Peer Navigator. Watch for our application process in Spring Quarter. (But here’s a quick hint: if you plan to apply—you have a much better chance of being selected to be a Peer Navigator if you participated in CAP first!)
