Quarterly Health and Wellness Guide

College life is full of challenges - one of which is keeping healthy during your educational experience. Our health educator is committed to helping people make informed, voluntary, health promoting behavior changes. We pay attention to the whole person and can help you learn more about wellness and health issues that have a direct impact on your success at Green River. Health Services provides campus-wide health education to individuals and groups on a variety of issues.

Health Services Provides:

  • Information about preventative health topics such as nutrition, fitness, disease prevention, alcohol and drugs, sexual health, and more.

  • Assistance in locating health care providers and resources.

  • A full slate of workshops and programs each quarter on a variety of health/wellness topics to help you maintain a healthy balance in your life.

  • Consultations regarding self-care on problems ranging from a headache or a cold to managing a chronic illness. Some minor first aid is also available.

We work closely with Counseling Services and other GRCC student services when needed and also coordinate campus-wide blood drives, community health activities, and an annual health fair.

Health Services programs are free to the campus community. The office is staffed by a health educator and is your doorway to keeping a healthy balance as a student. Health Services also has a large collection of educational materials, including brochures, newsletters, and videos on a wide variety of health related topics. It's a great place to get information about a health concern or to get materials to write a paper on a health topic.
