Saida

Kazakhstan, SUSI 2017

Saida organized a group of eight volunteers from her university in Astana to teach English and support children in a local orphanage. Each volunteer is assigned to a cohort of students and they visit the orphanage twice a week. In addition to delivering English lessons, the volunteers sometimes take the youth to the cinema or organize special activities to motivate them. In total, the group serves 100 children. The name of their volunteer group is Education for New Generation of Kazakhstan (ENG).
