Entry Advisors work with students who are new to Green River to ensure that they have the appropriate information and resources to successfully enroll and get started in their first quarter.
COMPASS Results Interpretation
Most students use the COMPASS assessment for class placement purposes. When students finish the COMPASS assessment they meet with an Entry Advisor to understand where their COMPASS socres place them in relation to their program requirements, options for retaking the COMPASS and/or using alternative placement methods, and receive course recommendations for their first quarter.
Transcript Review for Transferring in Students
Students with previous college level credits in English and/or Math can bring unofficial transcripts to the Welcome Center and have them reviewed by an Entry Advisor to determine if the credits can be used as prerequisites or for placement purposes.
This service is meant to help students preparing for their first quarter at Green River and does not replace the need for submitting official transcripts and a Transcript Evaluation Request to have previous credits applied towards a program of study.
The Welcome Center offers group and individual tours for potential students during fall, winter, and spring quarters. All tours begin at the Welcome Center and take approximately 45 minute.
We would like the opportunity to personalize your tour. Please sign-up at least 24 hours in advance and include any special requests and/or accommodations. Contact the Welcome Center at (253) 333-6000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
If you would like to go on a self-guided tour please feel free to stop by the Welcome Center for a map and suggested points of interest.
