Attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 1 - 2:30 pm in the Emerald City Room, SU.

Spend a fascinating four weeks living in Spain while learning about Spanish Life and Culture:

  • Earn 16 course credits
  • Visit places of interest, such as Romanesque cathedrals, 20,000 year old caves and pre Romanesque structures
  • Explore Europe on your own before or after your program

You will study at the University of Oviedo (UO) for four weeks during the summer. Professors from the University of Oviedo will teach Spanish Language courses and a Green River faculty member will teach the Humanities and Activities portion of the program.

Humanities, Hispanic Activities, Spanish Language and Literature

Students must carry a 16-credit load and are expected to fully participate in all class activities.

Spanish Language (courses vary by student level) - Taught by Professors from the University of Oviedo.

Humanities 133 - Taught by Erin Fernandez-Mommer from GRC

Spanish 272 - Cultura de Espana - Taught by Erin Fernandez-Mommer from GRC

Classes are held Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 2 pm for a total of 150 hours counting class times, excursions and culture.

Total Program Costs: $5,500 (approximate depending on exchange rates)

Program Fee paid to Green River - $2,200
(includes teacher guidance, insurance, and field trips)

Room & Board paid to UO - 720 €uros

University of Oviedo Tuition - 1,200 €uros

Green River College Tuition - $1,100

Additional Costs: You must arrange your own air and ground transportation to and from the University of Ovido.
