Calling all GRC artists! The Writing Center is holding our 2nd annual Art Competition!
Students currently enrolled at Green River are encouraged to submit original artwork, including poetry, inspired by the theme “Writing, Reading, Language, and Text” for a chance to win one of three Paper Tree Bookstore gift cards and have their art displayed in the Writing Center. Fill out the online application, drop off your art at the Writing Center (located in RLC 174), along with your Media Rights Release form, by 4 p.m. on May 31, 2018. If you have any questions, stop by whenever we’re open or email Krista at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Whether you have a question about grammar and usage or need help brainstorming ideas or focusing in essays - faculty and student tutors are here to help. There is no need to make an appointment, just drop by. While you are there, take advantage of the excellent resource library and online exercises.
Though the Center cannot guarantee you error-free papers, we can help you to improve in the areas you choose to work on with a tutor, and make you feel more confident about your written work.

Writing Center Jobs
The Writing Center is seeking student writing consultants to serve the student writers who visit the center. With more than a thousand visitors each quarter, consultants help develop skills to become more effective, confident, college-level writers and successful students.
Consultants will participate and complete the training and mentoring process. This includes attending all orientations, reading all assigned essays and chapters, participating in the discussions, conducting observations, completing all assessments, and any other activities that are a part of the Angel website and staff meetings. Must maintain a 3.3 overall G.P.A. and a 3.7 for all English coursework.
