Housing Placements - August 8th
Housing placements are made one month
before orientation. For fall quarter,
orientation begins on September 9th.
So for fall quarter, housing placements
will be made starting on August 8th.
Housing placement notification will
go out that week.
Campus Corner Apartment Placement
Our popular Campus Corner Apartments
fill every quarter and have a waiting
list. Fall quarter will be no different.
Housing placement priority is based
on receipt of completed housing application
and placement fee. Students who requested
CCA and do not get a spot for fall quarter,
will be placed in host family.
Arrival: Move-in Days September
7th and 8th
Please let us know as soon as possible
when students confirm their flight information.
You can email
housing@greenriver.edu. Also, could
you please let us know if any students
have made other plans and have decided
not to attend GRCC this fall.
NEW Foundation for Success – Learning
Living Community
We recently launched the Foundation
for Success Program for families wanting
to ensure their students get a solid
learning foundation and a get off to
a good start to their academic college
life.
The Foundation for Success is designed
for students who could benefit from
a bit more guidance, particularly during
their first quarter. It is also allows
parents to be more involved in their
children’s well being and progress as
they transition into college life
The program includes a special living
and learning community at our Campus
Corner Apartments.
Space is limited. So if you know
of students coming fall quarter who
would be good candidates for this program,
encourage them to apply right away.
Priority consideration will be given
to those who apply by August 8th. See
the Foundation for Success webpage for
more details
English Proficiency Change: IELTS
5.5 with no band lower than 5.0
Effective for entrance into the academic
program winter 2012, we will accept
IELTS of 5.5 with no band lower than
5.0. Previously, it was 5.5/4.5. We
increased the IELTS level we accept
based on a review of student performance
for students accepted at that lower
level.
Note that the new accepted level
is reflected on the
International Admission Requirements
webpage.
