University Conditional Guaranteed Admission
Green River Community College international students have been admitted to hundreds of universities all over the US. Students gain the qualifications needed for admission at Green River Community College and transfer to top universities as third year juniors. Admission is not guaranteed, but our students have been very successful in gaining admission to top universities.

University Transfer Planning
Working closely with their academic advisor, students develop a personal transfer plan based on their major and their destination transfer universities. Advisors help students understand the university admission process. They also offer valuable guidance in selecting appropriate transfer options.
During the first two years of study, students take a combination of general education classes and introductory classes in their major. During their final two years at university, students take upper-level classes in their major and any remaining general education classes.

Engineering: Physics for Engineering, Calculus, Advanced Mathematics, Introduction to Engineering Problems, Statistics, Engineering Design Graphics, Materials Science, Thermodynamics, Dynamics, and Mechanics of Materials.
Business: Introduction to Business, Government and Society, Financial and Managerial Accounting, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Business Law, Finite Math, Calculus for Business, Statistics for Business, and Speech.

General Education Requirements:
In order to obtain a bachelor's degree in the US, all students must complete specific requirements for their major as well as general education requirements which represent a foundation of learning in various areas including Math, Writing, Science, Social Science and Humanities. Students are given freedom to select classes of their choice from general categories.
For example, within the "Social Science" category, students can choose any one of the following subjects: sociology, psychology, political science, history, geography and others. The Humanities category includes: art, speech, communications, languages, music, philosophy, and others. Science includes: chemistry, biology, physics, astronomy, and others.
