Admissions
Admission to the college is open to anyone who has a high school diploma, GED, or is at least 18 years old. Green River welcomes people of all income levels, backgrounds and previous educational experience.
Apply Online….. within two business days of applying online, check your email for notification of your student identification number (SID) and follow instructions for setting up your GRCC – issued student e-mail account.
Green River Community College implemented College Policy GA-25. This policy states that “the college has the right to send official communications to [Green River issued] e-mail addresses,” and “The College will use this address for official communications with all students.”
New student acceptance letters will be e-mailed to students [Green River issued] e-mail address within 2 to 4 business days of receiving their student identification number (SID).

If you are an International student you should submit an international application form no later than five to six weeks prior to the beginning of the academic quarter for which you want admission to the college.
The admissions process must be completed before the International Programs office will issue the Certificate of Eligibility Form I-20.
On the basis of your educational background and knowledge of the English language, you may be admitted either to the college’s academic or professional technical programs or to the Intensive English as a Second Language Program (IESL).
Running Start is a unique opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to earn high school and college credit at the same time. Best of all, Running Start students don't pay any tuition for college level courses! If you are 16 or 17 years of age, you must submit a high school release form or a Running Start authorization form from the school district you live in, along with the application for admission.
