Admissions

If you are a new student, you can apply for admissions:

• Online at Web Admissions Center
• In person, stop by the Zgolinski Welcome Center
• By mail, call (253) 833-9111, ext. 2500 to request an application.

If you are an International student you should submit an international application form no later than five to six weeks prior to the beginning of the academic quarter for which you want admission to the college.

The admissions process must be completed before the International Programs office will issue the Certificate of Eligibility Form I-20.

On the basis of your educational background and knowledge of the English language, you may be admitted either to the college’s academic or professional technical programs or to the Intensive English as a Second Language Program (IESL).

If you are a Returning Student (not currently enrolled) in other words you have not attended Green River for at least one quarter, you will need to re-apply for admission to have your records updated and a registration appointment assigned. You can re-apply:

• By calling Enrollment Services at (253) 833-9111, ext. 2500
• In person, stop by Enrollment Services in the Lindbloom Student Center (LC-277)
• By mail, call (253) 833-9111, ext. 2500 to request an application.

Running Start is a unique opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to earn high school and college credit at the same time. Best of all, Running Start students don't pay any tuition for college level courses! If you are 16 or 17 years of age, you must submit a high school release form or a Running Start authorization form from the school district you live in, along with the application for admission.
