Green River College was recently awarded a $400,000 grant through the Strada Education Network Employer and Community College Partnership Challenge. The grant is part of an effort to support innovative collaborations across the country between community colleges and employers. Green River will also participate in opportunities to share insights and learn from other community colleges and employers, through a community of practice.

Covid higher education proclamation to expire Oct. 31, 2022 / Message from the President

Governor Inslee announced last month that the State of Washington will be ending its remaining COVID-19 emergency orders and state of emergency by Oct. 31. Green River College has reviewed the state’s guidance and will be making the following changes to the College’s current COVID-19 protocols, effective Nov. 1, 2022:

fall term 2022 return reminders / message from the president

Green River College will resume normal in person operating hours Monday, Sept. 6. Proof of vaccination, or approved exemption, is still required for all on campus classes, activities, work, or services. The College recommend mask wearing and will require masks in certain situations or locations. Faculty may require masking for their individual classes and will notify their students if masks will be required prior to the first day of their in-person class.

Green River College and partners celebrate launch of new program

This fall, students in Kitsap and Mason counties will have the opportunity to launch a career in aviation, thanks to a new partnership between Green River College, Olympic College, and Avian Flight Center in Bremerton. Through the new partnership, students who graduate from Olympic College's Aviation Technology Associate of Applied Science program will be qualified to enter GRC’s Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) program in Aeronautical Science.
