Daniel Bang (He/Him)

Role: Benefits Hub Coach (Resource Navigator)

BIO: I am currently a student at UW Tacoma graduating in March of 2024. Afterwards, I have hopes of pursuing a master's degree in industrial-organizational psychology. I really look forward to learning from my coworkers and the students at GRC in which I hope to be able to harness to further expand my knowledge and skills as a benefits hub coach and a person.

Hobbies: Reading books, watching movies/tv series, playing guitar & basketball, and of course hanging out with friends. Side hobbies: bowling, pickleball, and gym (weight lifting/cardio).

Leslie Phin (She/Her)

BIO: I am a Highline College alumni, who transferred to Central Washington University to study Social Science. My future career goal is to work in post-secondary education as an academic advisor. Fun fact about myself is I have a collection of majority of the Mario Party games!

Hobbies: I enjoy reading, cooking, playing board/card/video games

Paula Bayon (She/Her)

Role: Benefits Hub Coach (Resource Navigator)

BIO:I have a bachelor's degree in the fields of Social Sciences and Law, and I have always been a supporter of advocacies relating to education. When I moved to the US recently, I was fortunate to have come across the opportunity to be a volunteer coach for the Benefits Hub and all the students that the program aims to serve. It is my sincere hope to be able to play a humble part in the students' journeys toward achieving their academic goals.

Hobbies: Traveling, Swimming, Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, Snorkeling (anything that involves the water!), Hiking, Dancing, Baking, Reading, Watching classic movies

Shawnti Williams (She/Her)

BIO: Love helping people! I am the first to graduate in my family and go to college. Love learning and trying new things. Crazy fact about me I’m the oldest of 7 kids. Which is why I believe I always play the role in supporting and helping others because I helped a lot with my younger siblings.

Hobbies: Love cooking and eating!

Najae' Stansberry (She/Her)

Role: Benefits Hub Coordinator

BIO: I love seeing students reach their goals and have been supporting students at GRC for almost 5 years. If you are ever in need of a listening ear, or someone to help you stay on track of your goals, I am always happy to help!

Hobbies: I love being outdoors and being creative. When I am not at work you will often find me fishing, hiking, cooking, spending time painting or playing video games.

Freshta Aalami (She/Her)

Role: Office Assistant

BIO: I like helping students, especially new immigrants, because I know how hard it can be—I'm an immigrant too. I'm happy to be on the Benefits Hub team at Green River College and studying Medical Administrative. I'm thankful for the chance to help others find resources through benefit hub while they are studying. 

Hobbies: Riding Bicycle, playing with my kids or going out in the nature, hanging out with my friends.
