What is one thing you wish you knew about college before you started as a student?

I wish I knew that it was okay to change my mind about what I wanted to study half way through my AA and not wait until I was a quarter away from graduating to decide that the career I was going for was not the right one for me.

What do you like to do when you're not working?

Hangout with Archer, watch tv, read, hangout with my family and friends.

Biography

As a first-generation college student, I really had a hard time with college, I didn’t know how the system, and the processes that were involved in higher education. I started off my time at Green River thinking that I wanted to be a nurse when it didn’t really find it interesting and I really struggled with the content. Law and criminal justice were always something I was very passionate about. I was one quarter away from graduating with my AA in Pre-Nursing and was going to start applying for nursing school I decided that nursing was not for me. I had never really thought about going into a university to get a bachelors or a master’s degree, but I am so thankful that I have. I hope to use my knowledge of criminal justice to help fix gaps within the two systems. I am passionate about working with those who are returning citizens
