The CTW Staff

Kelsey Barrans, MSW

Hi GRC Gator! I'm Kelsey, the Director in the Center for Transformational Wellness (CTW). I've worked at Green River for three years, and before that I served survivors of Domestic Violence at a community service organization. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Social Work at the University of Washington, Seattle. I'm a proud Auntie to 5 amazing kiddos, I have two dogs, I love to grow veggies, and I spend far too much time watching my 8 chickens run around.

Joan King

Joan King is a United States Air Force veteran and former English teacher and equity leader. She spends her spare time providing professional development to educators looking to further their understanding of the Asian American communities.

Kendall

I am a dog mom, big sister and recently married! I graduated from UW Seattle in the summer of 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Social Work. I love working with people and am passionate about helping to create a violent free community.  I have a background of working with unsheltered youth and started working with survivors of interpersonal violence as an intern 2 years ago. I also have an interest in mental health services and am planning to get a Masters in clinical social work with a focus on mental health services. I am very excited to be on Green Rivers campus to serve students, faculty, and staff!
