Apply and submit required supporting documents:
- Proof of Financial Ability must be on official letterhead, in English, dated within 12 months of the application,
and must include the following information:
- $23,220 or more in personal checking, savings, or CD accounts (no retirement or business accounts)
- bank name, account holder name, account type, currency
- if the sponsor is not a parent we will request:
- letter from the account holder confirming they agree to sponsor the student
- if the sponsor is a U.S. citizen or resident - a signed sponsor agreement in addition to the financial documents they provide ( we will email the form)
- Copy of valid passport
- Medical Release Form
- Non-U.S. school transcripts, if available
- Proof of English Proficiency, if available
- Official high school and 9th grade transcripts are required for High School Completion - you can bring these with you when you arrive.
Are you in the U.S. studying at another school? You may be eligible to transfer to GRC
- Select TRANSFER STUDENT on the application.
- Upload all the required documents listed above
- Upload additional documents for transfer students:
- Transfer-In Eligibility Form - filled out and signed by you AND your school advisor/DSO
- Copy of your current Form I-20
- Copy of your F1 visa
- Unofficial transcripts from the school you are attending

Pay Application & Housing Fees
- $50 non-refundable application fee
- $375 housing placement fee - required for students 16 and 17 years old who apply for GRC student housing. Students can request a refund if they do not attend GRC. See housing policies.
- Tuition deposit for the first term of study may be required - to ensure that applicants have the ability to finance their education in the US, Green River College reserves the right to require pre-payment of one term of tuition for students applying from countries with low visa approval rates and economic instability.

When admitted, you will receive your acceptance letter and Form I-20 via encrypted email. You will need these documents to schedule a visa interview.Step 4: F-1 Visa Interview
- schedule your visa interview appointment as soon as you receive the admission documents
- check the U.S. State Department website for appointment wait times and visa information
- pay your SEVIS fee online before you go to the visa interview - the fee is valid for 12 months
- bring your acceptance letter and Form I-20 to the visa interview at the U.S. consular office
- learn how to prepare for the visa interview
When you enter the U.S., show the immigration officer:
- Your signed Form I-20
- Your passport with a valid student visa

Admissions Policy
New international students who use Green River's Form I-20 to enter the U.S. must:
- Report in person to Green River's orientation for new international students
- Enroll for and attend the first quarter at Green River.
- Carry health insurance while enrolled at Green River
