Green River College is offering for sale the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Non-Commercial Educational (NCE) FM Broadcast License for station KGRG-FM in the Puget Sound region.

The Offering: License Asset ONLY 

This sale is strictly for the FCC License (Facility ID 25168).

NO physical broadcast assets are included:

  • No Transmitter, Antenna, or Tower.
  • No Real Estate or Studio Facilities.

The successful buyer will be solely responsible for building and licensing all new physical facilities.

Buyer Requirements & Deadlines 

This NCE license transfer is subject to mandatory FCC rules. Serious bidders must acknowledge these critical responsibilities:

  1. Eligibility is Mandatory 
    The successful offer must be a non-profit educational organization, a non-profit entity, or a governmental entity (See 47 CFR 73.503 Licensing requirements and service). The license cannot be assigned to any for-profit corporation or individual.
  2. Critical Silent Deadline
    The station went silent in June 2025. The recipient of the license must return the station to the air prior to June 2026 to prevent the automatic forfeiture of the license under FCC rules (the 12-month silent rule).
  3. Buyer Must Build and License
    The successful bidder is responsible for all costs and efforts associated with:
    • Securing a new, suitable transmission site.
    • Obtaining all necessary zoning and environmental approvals.
    • Designing, funding, and constructing all new facilities.
    • Filing FCC Form 314 for consent to the assignment.
    • Applying for and securing an FCC Construction Permit (CP) for the new facilities.
