Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Seattle 駐西雅圖臺北經濟文化辦事處

The director-general is passionate about the dynamic relationship between the Republic of China and the U.S. that has existed over the past 41 years. The Seattle office is responsible for representing the interests of the Republic of China in the states of Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Wyoming.

Director-General Fan will share with us an overview of government practices of transparent communication and education of COVID-19.

Dr. Su focuses his practice on critical care and respiratory disease and has received several Best Poster Presentation awards in different areas, such as critical care, Respirology, Tuberculosis, and Lung diseases. All of his publications and presentations are shared with the general public on his blog. During COVID-19, he has utilized his blog and social media, such as Facebook to share accurate information, identify false information, and educate people on COVID practices.

Dr. Su will share with us how healthcare professionals minimized confirmed cases and deaths.

Tzu Chi University (TCU) is a private university in Hualien City, Hualien County, Taiwan. It was founded by the Tzu Chi Foundation and is famous in Taiwan for the quality of the medical education it provides. It is 67th in THE University Impact Rankings 2019 and first in Taiwan. Tzu-Chi Foundation founder, Master Cheng Yen, established the University solely for the purpose of educating people and gave “Kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity” to TCU as the University motto, wishing TCU to provide a fine environment for its faculty members, staff and students to enhance their physical well-being and wisdom, and to prepare its students to become kind and compassionate persons as well as fine professionals.

Ingrid will share the preventive action that Taiwan's Higher Education Institutes have taken to the pandemic, using TCU as an example.

Caroline is an English Teacher, a mom of 2 children, and an active community member. She will share with us how she managed her class and how she enjoys her daily routine with COVID measures.
